Steelblock manufactures and distributes high quality steel masonry blocks for making secure attachments to reinforced concrete masonry walls.

The company’s first patented products, the Horizontal and Vertical blocks were the first truly effective means of attaching a steel unit subjected to the abuse of detention and institutional facilities to a concrete masonry wall without concern of failure. Sized to the exact dimensions of a concrete unit and installed by masons, Steelblocks are grouted and held in place with a vertical and/or horizontal reinforcing bar and become an integral part of the wall. Items are attached to the Steelblocks by welding, by using weld nuts or by drilling and tapping the steel face plate.

In addition, Steelblock developed products for accessory purposes to provide a secure, flush installation that can not be dislodged from a concrete masonry wall. The Handcuff, Tissue Holder, Soap Dish, and Electrical Intercom Blocks were designed for use primarily in detention and institutional facilities. Other blocks such as the Half Block, Mirror Block and End Cap Block have found applications in commercial and institutional construction as well.
